Hello, I'm Tane
Pronounce my name “Ta – nay” … it’s an old fashioned Japanese name that means “Seed.”
I believe stories drive human-centered design and great products. Designers learn our user’s stories and retell them in the design process.
I’m a Product Designer and Storyteller who lives in Alameda, California. I have most recently been a UX-team-of-one for various start ups working a LeanUX process and establishing their Design Systems. I have also been working as the Director of Animation on an award winning personal project called Injunuity that airs on PBS and at film festivals nationwide.
I had a daughter while getting my MBA in Design Strategy from California College of the Arts. Now I’m a crazy soccer mom woohoo!
Biz books I have on repeat:
- Don’t Make Me Think by Steve Krug
- Start With Why by Simon Sinek
- The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do In Life and Business by Charles Duhigg
In my spare time, I like to write, work in the garden, and prepare for the zombie apocalypse.
